Hokkaido is a great place to visit while in Japan. Especially, when you are in summer here: Central and South Japan is hot and humid, while Hokkaido has a cooler, almost an European summer. For me, Hokkaido is all about nature, with its volcanoes, lakes and rivers. Sometimes, I also visit art museums there, when I have the time. :)
