A street artist, who moves in kabuki fashion as soon as you put some money into his box. The memorable poses struck by kabuki actors at significant moments are called “mie” and are hallmarks of kabuki. :)

It is a period of festivals in Tokyo… Here are my photo impressions of a much bigger festival than Kanda Matsuri – Sanja Matsuri in Asakusa. Packed with locals and tourists, but my focus was of course on the festival participants. 20 photos! :)
