Andrey Zaporozhets / SunSay

During my recent visit to St. Petersburg in Russia, I was lucky to be on the concert of the Ukrainian fusion-funk-reggae band SunSay. Their frontman Andrey Zaporozhets is already well-known in the post-Soviet part of the world for his previous music project 5’nizza. Anyway, the concert was terrific, with great sound and atmosphere. Andrey and his band connected to the audience from the first song. What I find fascinating about Andrey might seem trite, but he is a true musician. In the sense of connecting people and propagating peace with his music… Especially in light of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
