Spring. Smile. Hanami.

Long time no posts! I have been really busy in the last months finalising the second season of my travel series “On And Off Road In Mongolia”… Which is now finished and will be running on YouTube very soon ;). Sitting all my free time at home and reviewing, cutting, and editing videos, at one moment I have suddenly realised, that the spring has come. And spring in Japan means… Hanami! Cherry blossom festivals all around the country. Basically, there is nothing extraordinary about cherry blossoms, but when their celebration is part of a culture, cherry trees are being systematically planted along rivers, channels, in gardens and on the streets. And when they all start to bloom… Here are a couple of street shots… Well, never published so many in one post! Anyway, here are 16 photos from Tokyo, taken this weekend.
